Lori Ann Bell is the daughter of Lue Bertha Matthews Bell and the late John Brooks Bell Sr. She is the mother of Chakedra, Jeremy, Terrence Bell and great nephew Maleek Chriss whom she reared. Also the proud grandmother of Madisyn, Brooklyn, Terriyn and Terrence Bell Jr.
Lori is the youngest of four siblings.

Lori graduated from Clinton High School in 1978 and was crowned Miss CHS Class of 78. She graduated from Barbizon School of Modeling in 1979; attended Southern University studying in the field of Mass Communications and Capital Area Technical College studying Early Childhood Development. Lori successfully completed the five-day course on Competing for Federal Grants thereby receiving a Certificate of Completion.

Lori is a member of the New Covenant Christian Center under the leadership of Bishop Michael L. Smith Sr. and Co-Pastor Lady Dionne Smith. She serves as a Missionary, President of the Welcome Desk Ministry, and member of Special Events and Women’s Ministry.

Board member of the East Feliciana Economic Development, serves as a Director on the Louisiana Municipal Gas Authority Board and also serves on the East Feliciana Tourist Commission

A former office manager and tax instructor for H&R Block with over 30 years tax experience.

Formerly served as Alderwoman for the Town of Clinton 2009-2012 in the capacity of Finance Chairperson.

Presently Lori is serving her second term as Mayor of the Town of Clinton.

Of the many things that can be said about Lori, she says that the best fit is that she is a Woman of God. Her favorite scripture comes from 2 Chronicles 7:14- If my people who are called by my name would humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
