Dr. Donnesha Clayton joined Ochsner Medical Center-Baton Rouge in September of 2020. She received her undergraduate degree in biological sciences from Louisiana State University. She then earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-New Orleans. After obtaining her medical degree, Dr. Clayton completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville. She then went on to complete her Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Clayton has been involved in several leadership positions throughout her academic career, and she hopes to continue to expand her leadership roles at Ochsner Medical Center-Baton Rouge. Dr. Clayton is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Her clinical interests are general gastroenterology and her interests outside of medicine include traveling, reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.
