Former Executive Director of the Louisiana Democratic Party
Renee Lapeyrolerie is a native of St. John the Baptist Parish. She is a client service leader at the engineering firm, CDM Smith. Renee is a graduate of Loyola University and a career communications specialist. She is a former executive director of the Louisiana Democratic Party and currently represents the Treme neighborhood on the New Orleans Historic District Landmarks Commission.
Since earning a bachelor’s degree in communications, Ms. Lapeyrolerie developed a 20-year career in marketing, public relations, and political consulting. She has worked in city government in the areas of housing, economic, and cultural development, and in the private sector on state contracts for housing and health care agencies. She served a six-year term on the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors.
