She is no stranger to international touring, as she toured Europe in 2015. Upon returning, Joy(celyn) went full throttle in her career and released her freshman project. Her E.P. was quickly shelved at Louisiana Music Factory, and Peaches Records, to name a few. You might be inquisitive as to where this rising star’s career began. Joy’s career began with her leading her family gospel quartet, The Faithful Stars Of Joy. Since the quartet days of her youth both her talent and flair have blossomed into a virtuosity comparable to that of Vivaldi and Bach. Her strong, undying love for music was cultivated and groomed by her father the late Rev. Herbert Owens, whose cultural rearing echoes through her unique sound and flawless technique. Her insightful arrangements of enduring favorites pay homage to the authentic artists that most effectively influenced her. The dynamic vocalists that left imprints include Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston. You can hear this in her hit single Miracle Of Love, written and produced by Academy award winning composer Donald Markowitz. Joy’s currently working towards releasing a full length debut album.
